BUY & SELL
GUITARS BOUGHT & SOLD
I buy and sell quality guitars – everything from 1950s and 60s American classics to well-specified modern instruments. Every guitar I sell has been through the workshop: set up properly, played, and checked over.
If you’re looking to sell, I’ll give you a straightforward offer. No auction fees, no waiting. If I can’t offer what you’re hoping for, I’ll tell you honestly.

REPAIRS & SETUP
EVERY GUITAR DESERVES
I work on electrics, acoustics, basses and vintage instruments. Most work is completed within a week – you’ll always have a price before anything starts.
FULL SETUPFrom £55
A complete setup gets your guitar playing as well as it possibly can – action, intonation, nut slots, truss rod, tuning machine check.
REPAIR WORKPOA
All types of damage and wear assessed and repaired. Most repairs are diagnosed and quoted the same day.
FULL REFRETFrom £195
All frets removed, fretboard levelled and reconditioned, new frets fitted, levelled, crowned and polished. Transforms worn-out necks.
ELECTRICAL WORKPOA
Pickup fitting, rewiring, switch and pot replacement, shielding. Custom wiring diagrams and vintage-spec work also available.

Previous repair and restoration work – broken head repair, electrical work, refretting, truss rod adjustment, neck fitting
BOWLER CUSTOM BUILDS
BUILT TO YOUR
SPEC.
I build guitars from scratch – or assemble from high-quality components – to whatever specification you want. Tele, Strat, LP-style, offset: if you can describe it, I can build it.
All Bowler guitar bodies and necks are made entirely in my workshop — not bought in. That means neck profiles, body contours and construction details can be adjusted and reviewed at every stage of your build.

EVERTUNE BRIDGE FITTING
YOUR GUITAR
ALWAYS IN TUNE.
The EverTune is a passive, self-compensating bridge – no electronics, no batteries. Based on trigonometry and mechanical physics, it maintains constant string tension regardless of heavy bending, temperature changes, or marathon playing sessions.
Approved UK EverTune installer. I’m one of the few luthiers in the UK with experience fitting EverTune across a wide range of body styles and guitar types.
VINTAGE, RELIC & NITRO FINISHES
CUSTOM
PAINTWORK
I apply nitrocellulose lacquer finishes — the traditional finish used on American guitars from the 1950s to the 1970s. Nitro breathes with the wood and ages beautifully over time.
Whether you want a period-correct burst, a custom colour, or a complete strip and refinish, the work is done by hand with careful prep and multiple thin coats.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
BRIGHTON GUITAR WORKSHOP.
30 YEARS.
I’m Nathan. I’ve been repairing and building guitars in East Sussex for 30 years. Every guitar that comes through the door is handled by me — not a technician, not an apprentice. When you leave your instrument here, you know exactly whose hands it’s in.
“I’ll give you an honest assessment of what your guitar needs. If it’s not worth repairing, I’ll tell you.”
I work on everything from everyday guitars needing a first setup to vintage instruments worth many thousands of pounds. Both get the same attention. I understand what these instruments mean to people — whether it’s your main stage guitar or something you’ve had since you were sixteen.
The workshop is in East Sussex and operates by appointment. Get in touch to discuss postage — I use safe, insured packaging and can ship across the UK and to Europe.
GET IN TOUCH
LET’S TALK ABOUT YOUR GUITAR
Call or message to discuss a repair, a custom build, or a guitar you want to sell. I can give a guide price over the phone — for complex work I’ll want to see the instrument first, but you’ll always know the cost before anything starts.
